Iqbal Anas Ma’ruf, Healthcare and Social Security Agency: Public service should not be disturbed by any issue.
JAKARTA, PRINDONESIA.CO - The risks and consequences have been well recognized by the Head of Public Relations of BPJS, M IqbalAnasMa'ruf. He and his team remain principled to consistently maintain public services. "Public services should not be disturbed by any issues," he said when met by PR INDONESIA in Jakarta on Friday (18/1/2019). According to Iqbal, the election has been strictly regulated in the law. Therefore, public relations must remain focused on their work achievements, without the need to be directly involved with the political interests.
Then, Iqbal shared four effective strategies that BPJS Kesehatan always applied to counter hoaxes that intersect with their institutions, under any circumstances, such as:
One Door Communication
In order for information to be clear, public relations must implement a one-door communication system. That means, all lines of information both in and out must go through public relations. "Keep in mind, our institution protects the lives of many people and the interests of the country. "Public Relations must be careful when acting and giving statements to the public," he said.
Search, Coordination, Clarification
Next, do a search to find out the source of the problem, followed by coordinating with related parties such as the Ministry of Health and hospitals. Then, as soon as possible do clarification in the media. "Especially for the latter, it will succeed if we have built good relations with the media," said Iqbal.
Positive Content Production
Public Relations should, routinely produce positive content based on facts. "We produce positive content every day. The aim is to provide guidance to the people who have placed high expectations on usso far,"he said.
Keep a Safe Distance
As a public institution that is directly responsible to the President, public relations must be neutral, maintain a safe distance with the political constellation both in the work environment and how to behave on social media. "The momentum of the celebration of democracy must not reduce the enthusiasm and quality of our services, including public relations, to the community," he said. (ais)
