The 2019 PRIA’s Participants Testimonials: Preparation, Preparation, Preparation
JAKARTA, PRINDONESIA.CO - DisraAlldrick, External Communication Coordinator of PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (RAPP), who was the first presenter that morning, admitted that hewas nervous. "There are three things that we must prepare every time there is a presentation: preparation, preparation, preparation," he said. But this time he felt there were more things to be had than just preparation, namely courage. This wasbecause the judges in front of him are professional PR practitioners. Unlike the previous day, on Tuesday (5/3/2019), the committee presented five judges. They were PR INDONESIA Guru Magdalena Wenas, Deputy Expert IV of Presidential Staff OfficeArianiDjalal, founder and Editor in Chief of PR INDONESIA AsmonoWikan, Communication Director of PT Danone Indonesia Arif Mujahidin, and lecturer ofCommunication Science Department of Al Azhar University IrwaZarkasi. Three of judges were familiar to PRIA participants, while the other two were new judges. Disra admitted that his company had not long known about this routine event held by PR INDONESIA. Last year, for the first time RAPP passed the presentation in the CSR category and finallywon the trophy at the night of the PRIA award in Surabaya. This achievement encouraged his company to enter more entries. Especially for the past two years the department has been instilling the company's core values ??with the internal employees. After the presentation, Disra actually felt happy, because he received a lot of input from the judges. In addition, he also felt many benefits from this event. "We will not know our position where if we do not meet new networks, conduct comparative studies, share knowledge and experience to find benchmarks. One way is through events like this,"he said. Faisal Alfarokhi, public relations officer of Petrokimia Gresik (PG), although this was not his first presentation, but he claimed to always felt challenged every time he made a presentation before the PRIA judges. "What always make me felt challenged to participate in PRIA is the capable judges. Their questions always make me think. Luckily I performed with a partner, so we can complement each other, " Faisal said who made a presentation with his colleague LuhungNalarwangi. Luhung responded positively to the many questions asked by the judges. "For us it's a good sign. It means they are interested, "he said. JudgeArifwas one of the judges who appreciated PG's Petroagrifood Journey program. According to him, this program is in line with the results of a research that shows the tendency of human in 2050 to consume more plant based food than animal sources. Just like the participants in general, AryaDwiParamita, Pertamina's Media Communication Manager, viewed that PRIA in principle is a place for companies, especially the Communication Division to measure performance that is assessed objectively by the public, in this case the judges. This assessment will then become a benchmark for future PR programs. "Every program and event that we handle is a lesson that we have to record. With the input from the public (judges), the record of each event and program is becoming more complete, " she said. Pursue Quantity Meanwhile, the PT KeretaComuter Indonesia (KCI), which for the second consecutive year perched at the top as the highest trophy winner or Platinum, claimed that this year they did not send too many entries. The reason was that this time they were pursuing value. "Even though the number of entries is small, this year we are more confident," he said. Moreover, all the programs they presentedwere new programs that were born of fresh ideas and could be proud of. "We are participating in this event to get input from the judges to improve our program in the future," he added while giving an advice to the committee so that in the future the judging system would be carried out simultaneously, for example, divided into three classes. (rtn/ais/ika)

The 2019 PRIA Testimonials: It Is Like a Trial
JAKARTA, PRINDONESIA.CO - Ike Yuningsih, Public Relations Lead of Quipper Indonesia, who presented a successful video that was able to make the judges to be teary eyed, claiming to feel like she was undergoing a trial during judging process. "Especially, one of the judges, Ms. IrwaZarkasi, is my lecturer when I was still in college," she told PR INDONESIA in Jakarta on Wednesday (06/03/2019). The woman who presented two subcategories at once, PR programs and marketing, was increasingly challenged when she had to simplify the message from startup companies engaged in technology-based education (edutec) to be easily accepted by the judges. Meanwhile for WibawaGumbira, Head of Subdivision of Information Analysis of Public Relations at the Regional Secretariat of the Kuningan District Government, West Java, presenting before the 2019 PRIAjudges became his first experience. Although it was the first time, he admitted that he was relieved because the program presented by Wakuncar Hani had received a positive appreciation from the judges. "I am proud and moved. Especially because our regency is at the most end of the West Java Province which PAD is small, and today we can stand in a national level competition,"he said. He was also grateful that through this event, they received a lot of input and encouragement from the judges so that the program would develop and bring not only local but also national tourist. He hoped that this competition would be more socialized to the regions so that more participants from the regions can participate in this event. This year is also the first experience for Citibank Indonesia to join the 2019 PRIA competition. In line with the others, Elvera N. Makki, Director of Corporate Affairs of Citibank Indonesia, also made this forum as a place to measure and get input or feedback from the public, in this case the judges are experts in their respective fields. "The presentation can provide an opportunity for both parties, both participants and judges, to understand and explore the program so that the judging becomes more comprehensive," she said. However, she suggested that in the future the next year's presentation session would be held in a closed manner. The best practice presentation is openly conducted specifically for the best participants at the peak of the event. "Because when judging there are times when the material presented is confidential data, especially those related to crisis or issue management," she said. (rtn/ais/ika)
